2nd Place 4X Bromont!! 8th in DH!! (Click for pics)
Again a second place in Four Cross World Cup!!
After hard fights and cool overtakes in my runs I could reach to fantastic 2nd place right behind Anneke Beerten and in front of Mio Suemasa.
Now I'm again 2nd in the overall ranking!!
Also DH went pretty well with a 8th place and 3rd top ten result this year!

3rd Place in Qualification 4X Bromont
I had a good Start in the WC race weekend in Bromont. I got 3rd in my qualification run in 4X. Only the two MS-Racing riders Mio Suemasa and Anneke Beerten went in front of my, but we tree are all in the same second (1:10:00). Then is a gap of 2 seconds to the 4th Fion Griffith. The track is pretty rough and so it’s a little pit hard with my hardtail I only bring over here to Canada, but so I’m pretty fast at pedalling. Looking forward to my race run!
3.Platz in Qualifikation 4X Bromont
Ich hatte einen guten Start in das WC Rennwochenende in Bromont. Ich wurde 3. in meinem Qualilauf im 4X. Nur die 2 MS-Racing Fahrerinen Mio Suemasa und Anneke Beerten waren vor mir, aber wir waren alle in derselben Sekunde (1:10:00). Danach eine 2 Sekunden Lücke zur 4ten Fion Griffith. Die Strecke ist sehr ruppig und es ist etwas hart für Hardtail (hab mein Fully zu Hause gelassen), aber dafür bin ich beim Treten ziemlich schnell. Freu mich schon aufs Rennen!

I have pretty good news from the World Cup in Mont Saint Anne CAN!
I had two great results:
With a 8th place in downhill I got my second top ten results this year.
And with a 5th place in 4X I stood the 3rd time on the podium this year.
Our team is current number 3 in WC 4X Team Ranking.

World Championships 4X - 2008 - Val di Sol!
After the training before the qualification I felt pretty good on the track and I was, with Anneke Beerten, the only girl who jump the pro-line-jumps !
In my qualification run I had a problem, clicked out of one of my pedals and got 5th.
But it was amazing how close the girls times have been, the first 6 were in between 0,61sec!!!!
Unfortunately the race day wasn't my day. I couldn't repeat jumping the pro-line in my race runs.
Anyway I won my first run, but in the second one, Anneke Beerten press me out of the second corner while I was in leading position.
I finally got 7th and was very disappointed, knowing that if I jump the pro-line in my race runs, I would have had the chance of winning!

A lot of good news!
First of all we proudly present you Anita Molcik owner of the "Goldene Verdienstkreuz der Republik Österreich" (golden federal cross of merit of the republic of Austria). I get the award for my sportive achievement at the world championships 2006.
WC-Andorra:
Our Team got to podium results at the 4X in Andorra on one day!
Me and Rasto Pirman got both 4th at the finals.
We had good qualifications (Anita 3rd, Rasto 16th) and could reach through hard battles the big finals.
WC-Fort William:
I was the only teammate competing in Fort William. After a hole weekend of sunshine in Scotland I got as well sunny news: After a 7th place in the 4X I'm still 3rd in the 4X overall ranking, same points like the 2nd Jana Horakova.
Also in downhill, I could catch good points with a 10th place in qualification and a real good 9th place my race run.

1st UCI world cup of the 2008 race season in Maribor/ Slovenia.
I got 2nd at the first 4X World Cup in Maribor this weekend.
After a really bad crash in qualification, I got only 12th and had always the worst starting position in my final runs.
But after fighting back in the big final I took my first 2nd pleace in a World Cup 4x behind Anneke Beerten and Fione Griffith.

4X: First Race, first Victory!

It was a really great event which took place in course of the UCI MTB Cross Country World Cup. The track was built by Phil Saxena and it has not been shortened compared to other world cup tracks. Although it has been raining, both the track and the spectators stood the course and after winning the qualification, Anita took the first place by doing her runs in a superior style.
